In this section I put three creations of mine still related with 'traditional' Golf.
LIQUID HANDICAP©: to maintain inside our trio of otherwise youngsters the competition at a high level and lasting till the end of the 9 holes round, I created a different way to administer the player's own handicap.
The system was highly appreciated by the one of us who used it in our matches. It surely is a worthy new way how to use each handicap's shot.
DAY HANDICAP created by me 11 years ago. An entirely different way to administer personal handicaps that takes care of the sanctioned robbery of the actual system that makes beginners win over all established handicapped golfers by the way of points accumulation or shot's number reduction that make the beginner, absolutely innocent, to obtain 6 points or a reduction of 4 shots for a single lucky holed out tee shot on a par 3.
This my system takes care of this dysfunction assigning handicap shot/s for any above par score only. Ranking is by score values and quality of the hole's score related with the hole's difficulty sequence.
NEW LEADERBOARD from a comment on TV during a Valderrama Master, 2018 I think, about the opposition of the new Board to double figures scores at the end of the tournament, I enjoyed myself in modernising the Old Times when tournaments were not ranked by delta par scores but as distance in shots from the leader/s.
PAR is a measure that varies according to weather, wind etc. Since golf courses are ranked with a fixed par, too often a tournament ends at 20 shots under par making the course looking a too easy and unworthy golf course. Nothing more misleading, but appearances today are the first parameter by which people choose a holiday destination or a golf course.
So, in my NEW LEADERBOARD the leader/s are always at 0, zero shots, and all other players are following at 1, 2, 5, 9 shots behind.
