THE SYSTEM
A NINE holes golf round is the TOMORROW GOLF round and it is also the golf round of the future if Golf wants to enter the future.
A virtual player plays the course, from the Amateurs tee (yellow) starts the player whose driver reaches 200 meters and from the championship tee (white) the player whose driver reaches 230 meters. THOSE DRIVERS LENGTH IDENTIFIES ALL OTHER CLUBS' LENGTH OF THEIR OWN BAG.
With this information the computer obtains the hole's par and WHICH CLUBS HAD BEEN USED ON EACH HOLE BY THE TWO VIRTUAL PLAYERS.
Now the computer starts creating each hole WITH THOSE SAME CLUBS BUT FOR DIFFERENT DRIVER'S LENGTH STARTING FROM 195 METERS, NEXT 190, etc, DOWN TO 100 METERS DRIVER'S LENGTH.
That way a database is created with 27 holes of different length for each hole of the course; each one of those holes ARE PLAYED WITH THE VERY SAME CLUBS USED BY THE REFERENCE VIRTUAL PLAYER (200 OR 230 mt.)
Since all player play the same clubs on each hole, ALL OF THEM WILL REACH THE GREEN WITH THE SAME NUMBER OF SHOTS (bad shots aside) HOLING OUT WITH THE USUAL TWO PUTTS.
THIS MEANS THAT EVERY SINGLE PLAYER HAS THE SAME CHANCE TO PAR THE HOLE AS EVERYBODY ELSE, THE DIRECT CONSEQUENCE IS: HANDICAP HAS NO MORE REASON TO EXIST, MEANING THAT EVERYBODY ON THE COURSE PLAYS SCRATCH
For each hole the computer created 27 hole of different length to adapt it to the shot's length of every player, now the problem is how to find each one of the 27 start tees position.
A GPS WATCH is all that is needed; walking on the fairway's centreline of each hole, the player will look for the distance to the centre green written on his personal scorecard, when the GPS watch reads that number he/she is exactly on his/her starting tee.
Scorecards for the starting phase will be printed on a single A4 cardboard with all 4 players together, this way there is room enough to print instructions alongside the 4 scores and on its backside a summary of the TOMORROW GOLF RULES©.
